N. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br /> the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br /> facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining and Safety. Trent Peterson represented the operator. With the operator's consent,this report was <br /> issued from the Denver office of DRMS. <br /> Mining was active at the King II Mine in the second section west of the entries leading from the <br /> portals. Many areas that had not been plowed were covered with more than one foot of snow. <br /> Selected photos taken during the inspection are provided at the end of this report. <br /> Availability of Records <br /> The results of the records check are shown on the attached list. All required records were available. <br /> Signs and Markers <br /> King I - Mine i.d. signs and affected area markers were properly displayed. <br /> King II—A mine i.d. sign was on display at the mine's entrance on County Road 120. <br /> Roads <br /> King I -The mine entrance haul road was well maintained. <br /> King II-The haul/access road was well maintained. <br /> Hydrologic Balance <br /> King I Ponds - Snow cover prevented inspection. <br /> King II Pond—Embankments and spillway riser appeared in good shape, although snow cover limited <br /> inspection. <br />
