Cattan <br />Denver, CO 80203 Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />RE: Yoast Mine (Permit No. C-1994-082) <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 3 (RN-3) (CHS#56569) <br />Current Permit Boundar <br />Dear Mr. Nichols: <br />In y our letter of Februar 25, 2010, y ou re a map that would depict the extent and <br />location of the current permit area for the Yoast Mine, to enable y ou to determine the potential <br />effect of the permit renewal on historic properties. <br />Enclosed is a small scale "General Location" map that shows the permit area location. Note <br />that the permit area includes a lar block of land within T R87W where coal extraction <br />occurred durin active operations, as well as a narrow road corridor (SCC Haul Road "A"), <br />which extends g enerall y north from the minin block to its intersection with Rout Count Road <br />27, in T6N R87 W. 1 have also enclosed a lar scale "Surface Ownership Map" that shows the <br />current permit boundar (dashed black line in relation to section lines. Note that there is a <br />widenin of the permit corridor alon the haul road near the northern end of the road in Section <br />29, which is not depicted on the "General Location" map. <br />I hope this information will suffice for y our purposes.
