This was a partial inspection of the Amess McGriffin Mine conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. No one else was present. The ground was
covered with more than one foot of snow.
The permit for this mine was revoked more than 10 years ago. The site was reclaimed by DRMS's
IML program in April 1990. No problems were evident at the site, as observed from the adjoining
Coal Gulch site and the site's access road.
