• 2.05.3 <br />(a)(ii)(11) <br />(a)(ii)(12) <br />(a)(ii)(13) <br />(a)(ii)(14) <br />(a)(ii)(15) <br />(a)(ii)(16) <br />(a)(ii)(17) <br />• <br />Total weight of explosives used and maximum weight of explosives used per <br />8- millisecond period; <br />Initiation system; <br />Type and length of stemming; <br />Mats or other protection used; <br />Type of delay detonator and delay periods used; <br />Number of persons in the blasting crew; and <br />Seismographic and airblast records, where required, including: <br />Type of instrument, sensitivity, and the calibration signal of the gain setting or <br />certification of annual calibration; <br />Exact location of instrument and the date, time and its distance from the <br />blast; <br />Name of the person and firm taking the reading; <br />Name of the person and firm analyzing the seismographic record; <br />The vibration and /or airblast level recorded; <br />(a)(iii) Ample warning will be given before shots are fired. All persons will be <br />cleared and removed from the blasting area. Roads leading into the blasting <br />area will be blocked by a manned vehicle having radio contact with the <br />blasting foreman to prevent the entrance of livestock or unauthorized <br />personnel to the blasting area. A horn sounded intermittently for one minute <br />will be used for the blast warning signal. The all clear signal will be horn <br />sounded continuously for one minute. The horn will be audible within a <br />range of one -half mile from the point of the blast. Each person who resides <br />or regularly works within one -half mile of the blasting site will be notified of <br />the meaning of the signals through appropriate instructions. <br />PR -12 2.05-58- 2/10 <br />
