3/1/2010
ANNUAL REPORT
EVERHART PIT
Permit No. M-1997-081
35,000 tons of material was crushed in the pit in 2009 however the material was added to
the existing stockpile of crushed material. The "waste" pile was depleted by the owner
who had use for that material so that stockpile remained substantially constant.
As stated in previous reports we use the material on an as-needed basis. Crushing is done
under contract and usually lasts about 2 weeks in duration. The contractor is tasked with
the maintenance of the pit during crushing including adherence to our stormwater
management plant requirements. A project manager monitors the crushing operation and
during extraction there is a foreman or team leader on the site to supervise removal of
material and to ensure proper safety procedures.
I have included a new map that shows minor modifications due to the removal of material
from the mine face.
Please note that this permit is held by Pueblo County therefore no financial warranty has
been required.
