The estimated disturbed area for the pit and stockpiled material <br />will be about 13ft X 18ft or 234ft square per site, or 0.01 acres in total. The test pits will be <br />within the larger 30 ft x 65 ft proposed drill pads. For bonding calculations, the entire 1,950 <br />square foot drill pad will be considered. In addition, the roads (1500 feet by 8 feet) will be <br />considered "disturbed" although this is highly unlikely. Ft <br />Mud pits will be constructed as needed to contain the drilling fluids and to ensure that no fluids <br />will be introduced into the ephemeral drainages. In the event that large amounts of water are <br />encountered during drilling, the pits will be designed and maintained so that only decanted water <br />is allowed to escape to the surrounding area that is not an ephemeral drainage. <br />Some of the access trails and drill pads may require some cutting of brush, tree limbs and <br />perhaps the removal of a specific pinion or juniper tree. Cut material will be temporarily placed <br />in a pile or piles adjacent to the access trail or drill site, and then scattered back over the trail or <br />site during reclamation.
