The Division's calculations
indicate that a Financial Warranty in the amount of $568,900, rather than $400,000 requested by the Operator, is
required to reclaim the remaining disturbances in the permit area in accordance with the approved Reclamation Plan.
The worksheets showing the calculations that support this conclusion were mailed with the inspection report under
separate cover on 22 February 2010.
Please inform your insurance company of this reduction in order to obtain a decrease rider for your corporate surety.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 866-3567, x8108. Questions related to the Financial Warranty
should be directed to Elizabeth Merry in the DRMS office at 303-866-3567 x8148.
Sincerely,
CW
David Bird
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Fred Marvel, Brannan Sand & Gravel Co.
Elizabeth Taliaferro, DRMS
Tony Waldron, DRMS
Office of
Office Land Reclamation of
Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
