Dear Mr. Shafer: .
On February 19, 2010 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety approved, with one stipulation, the Technical
Revision application submitted to the Division on January 15, 2010, addressing the following:
Attempt: to stabilize the material below the southern scrap by applying a controlled blast, so that geotechnical
investigations could be started to formulate the amended mining and reclamation plan by May 2010.
The terms of the Technical Revision No. 14 approved by the Division are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M-1977-
211.
The conditions of the Division approval are noted below. Please note that all other provisions of Permit No. M-1977-211
remain in full force and effect.
Stipulation No. 1
Transit'Mij will place,the,'new prisms, as recommended by CGS, west of the existing scarps as illustrated in
photo # 2 submitted: in response to DRMS'S adequacy letter. The installation must be completed prior to
conducting the controlled blast on February 26, 2010.
