Castle Concrete has installed an audible alarm system that is tied to the GeoMos Monitoring and
Analyzing Software. When a prescribe level of acceleration along any monitoring point is
achieved an email is sent to numerous members of the Castle Concrete staff with this information.
This should occur 4-8 hours prior to an event. This is followed by an audible alarm if the
acceleration reaches the next threshold approx 2-4 hours prior to an event.
? Castle Concrete has notified the following agencies with regard to the blast scheduled for February
26, 2010. Colorado Springs Police Dept., Colorado Springs Fire Dept., Colorado Springs City
Council, El Paso County Commissioners, Colorado Mountain Reclamation Foundation, and the
U. S. Forest Service.
? Castle Concrete will install additional prisms to be located above, (west), of the scarps on the far
south peak, the peak above prism 13, the peak above prism 19 and on the north peak. There will
also be a prism installed on the rock face directly above prism 13.
