Martin
Executive Director
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received your response letter dated
December 22, 2009 concerning Technical Revision No. 65 (TR-65) for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. Your response
letter with enclosure was forwarded to Bowie Resources LLC (BRL) as part of the Division's adequacy review. hi
addition, BRL forwarded an e-mail to the Division that had been sent by Susan Starcevich of WAPA to BRL
concerning the proposed drill hole location. A copy of this e-mail is attached.
In the adequacy review for TR-65, the Division has received information from BRL that is pertinent to the
concerns of WAPA. Because of the importance of WAPA's Curecanti-Rifle transmission line and the proximity of
two of its towers to the proposed underground mine workings, the Division requests that WAPA review this
material and provide comments to the Division. Enclosed are the following:
E-mail from Susan Starcevich to J. E. Stover, dated January 22, 2010, concerning the proposed drill hole
location.
2. "Overburden Stability Evaluation at Terror Creek Crossing" dated March 2004, prepared by Maleki
Technologies, Inc. This report had an incorrect proposed mine alignment so the Division requested an
updated report.
3.
