The pit will be benched to final grade with a track mounted rock hammer, a 90,000 lb
hammer on a Case 9030 track excavator, or equal. The benches will be approximately 8
feet wide and 4 feet deep, overlain with crusher fines, so that the "step" in the bench has
at least 6 inches of cover.
2. We estimate that approximately 8,000 CY of fine material will need to be moved from the
stockpile an average distance of 400 feet with a rubber tired loader to get the material in
place for final grading with a tracked dozer.
3. We wish to clarify that the mulch will be distributed using a "bale chopper" on an ATV.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Yours Truly,
Scott E. Johnson
