By.letter dated April 19, 2001, the BLM was provided notice of BRL's plan to
• mine under BLM managed property. Since new mine plans have been developed that will
extend west of Terror Creek, an updated notice is hereby provided.
The BLM has a. copy of BRL's Map 14, Mine Plan, which shows specific areas in which
mining will take place and the dates of mining activities that could cause subsidence and
affect structures or renewable resources. The BLM is provided a copy of BRL's Map 14
each time it is amended.
The BLM also has a copy of BRL's Map 27, Subsidence, which presents areas where
extraction will be limited to control adverse surface effects. Extraction is limited to control
subsidence to protect Hubbard Creek and Terror Creek and the roads that parallel both.
The BLM is also provided a copy of BRL's Map 27 each time it is amended.
The most recent amendment to the mine plan is the extension of the 1 West Mains under
Terror Creek. The focus of the mine plan for the next few years will be developing and
mining longwall panels that are located west of Terror Creek. Please call if you need any
additional information.
Sincerely,
J. E. Stover, P.E.
• Consulting Engineer
cc: Wm. A. Bear, Jr.
