The Division received a Technical Revision (TR-03) on January 26th, 2010 submitted by Sean
Frisch with Lafarge West, Inc (Lafarge). According to Mr. Frisch, you are currently managing this
mine site. There are several issues that will need to be addressed prior to approval of the
Technical Revision. The decision date for the Technical Revision is February 25th, 2010. If the
decision date arrives and the issues discussed below are not addressed to the Division's
satisfaction it will be your responsibility to waive Lafarge's right to a 30 day processing period
for a Technical Revision and request an extension of the decision date. If the decision date
arrives and there are outstanding adequacy review issues, the Technical Revision will be denied.
Please keep in mind the Division will need time to review your response to this letter prior to
the decision date.
Item #1: Final Lake Configuration
1.) According to the narrative, there are five lakes located at the site. The map submitted with
the Revision displays eight lakes. Please clarify this discrepancy.
Item #2: Map
2.) The map submitted essentially is an updated Reclamation Plan Map, thus must conform to
the requirements of Rule 6.2.1 (2) and Rule 6.4.6. Please make the following corrections:
• Please portray the proposed land use for each portion of the affected lands.
o The post mine land use designated for this site is recreation.
o Indicate the areas that have been revegetated.
