The $791.00 fee is enclosed.
A total of 77,271 cubic yards (cy) of on-site gravel products were produced and
sold from the combined Hazeltine-Road Runners Rest mine sites in 2009. Due to the
slow economy, sales were down from 2008, and mining proceeded at a slower pace. The
breakdown of the sold products is shown below. The figures do not indicate material that
was mined and processed but not sold.
Topsoil : 10,082 cy
Structural fill: 47,321 cy
Base course: 141 cy
Pipe bedding: 8,512 cy
Class 57/67 material: 2,356 cy
No. 57 rock 4,608 cy
1" to 2" rock: 1,869 cy
2" to 4" rock 1,681 cy
4" to 6" rock: 701 cy
Total 77,271 cy
Approximately 167,728 cy of fill was removed from the site and used for
construction projects in the area. Removal of the fill allowed access to the underlying
alluvial deposits.
In preparation for the final reclamation of the site as a water storage reservoir,
approximately 254,831 cy of a mixed clay and sand material were mixed and stockpiled.
The material, called Zone 2, will be used to line the final reservoir side slopes. This slope
liner material was stockpiled in five areas scattered along the pit bottom. Additional
material will be mixed and stockpiled in 2010.
CONSERVE
