Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has received a revision for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. The
revision was called complete on February 13, 2008. The decision due date is February 23, 2008.
In Minor Revision 86, Bowie Resources, LLC is proposing to drill one monitoring hole to the D-Seam
coal workings in order to determine the quantity and quality of the water in the mine at that level. The
drill hole location is next to the Hubbard Creek Road so no drill pad or road are needed. A stock tank will
be used instead of a mud pit. This hole will probably replace the monitoring hole proposed in TR-53.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
t,,osep?h J. dash
Environmental Protection Specialist
JJD/Ahd
M:\OSS\ahd\temp\C-C[-O l _C 1996083_JJD_02132008114017.doc
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
