This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division). All that remains within the small permit area are
1.2 acres at the NW-1 ventilation shaft, seeded and mulched in late 2004. The weather was
overcast and snowing lightly during the inspection.
Signs and Markers
The reclaimed area of the former NW-1 ventilation site is nearly indiscemible from the
surrounding lands. As was the practice at the main facility area, the operator should ensure
that disturbed boundary markers are established at the edge of the reclaimed area. Shown
immediately below is the short reclaimed access road below the ventilation site.
