The revision is to add a "Rock Dust Mill" to the Mining and
Reclamation Plan. CaIX submitted a map on January 19, 2010 showing the location of the mill building and site
pad. The map was noted by CaIX as not being what was requested from its supplier and not what DRMS was
requesting as well. The map submitted is sufficient to approve the location of the site. Additional information on
the rock dust production within the mill has been submitted that notes no toxic or harmful chemicals are used. It
is noted that an APEN permit and BLM approvals have already been granted. Therefore DRMS is pleased to inform
CaIX that TR-03 for the inclusion of the rock dust mill into the mining and reclamation plans is approved
CaIX notes that an amendment to the permit is anticipated in the near future. Staff has reviewed the bond
estimate supplied with the TR. At this point the estimate appears to be close to DRMS figures. Therefore CaIX
estimate of an additional $13,900.00 to the $27,240.20 bond for reclamation of the mill and site is accepted. A
complete site reclamation liability update will be done as part of the upcoming amendment process. Please
submit additional bonding in the amount of $13.899.80 to bring the total bond to $41,140.00. The bonding
warranty documentation should be submitted to Elizabeth Merry in the DRMS Denver Office. If there are any
questions regarding those documents please contact Elizabeth at 303-866-3567, Ext. 8148.
If you need additional information please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, or by telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
G.
