Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (DRMS) has finished the review process for the above
referenced amendment. DRMS has received the final proof of publication affidavit. No objection
comments were received therefore DRMS may issue a decision.
It appears the Moffat County's amendment application for Powder Wash #66 Pit meets all the
requirements for a 112c permit amendment. Therefore, staff is pleased to inform Moffat County that
amendment AM-01 for the addition of the access road is approved. The access road is now notes as
being part of the permit acreage. Per Rule 4.1.2(2) no financial warranty is required to be posted by the
County. Therefore the amendment change is considered active with this letter. The approval satisfies
the requirements of the Mined Land Reclamation Board Order issued January 7, 2010 for MV-2009-041.
If you need additional information please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, or by telephone
no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
G.
