Acres in Long-Term Mining or Reclamation Facilities
As shown in Exhibit 2009-13, 95.6 acres are currently held in long-term mining or
• reclamation facilities.
Acres in Active Mining Areas
As Exhibit 2009-12 indicates, the 2009 active mine area disturbance was 97.0 acres. This
Exhibit includes leftover disturbance from prior years that is not considered to be long term
disturbance.
Acres Seeded/Planted for the Last 10 Years or more
The total number of acres seeded or planted and not released from Phase III bond within
the NH1 and NH2 permit areas is 432.22.
BB Detour Final Reclamation
Final reclamation was performed on the BB Detour area. 14.0 acres were recontoured
and regraded to facilitate proper long term erosion control. There are two landowners
on this project; the West landowner wanted the pavement left inplace, the east
landowner's pavement was removed and disposed of on the Coal Mine coal haul
road/BB Road. The old fence was removed on the ease side landowner and placed on
the shared property line. An access road to the CCC Ditch Company Box 1 was
constructed with a turnaround area. This will allow Ditch Company and user's access
for cleaning and maintenance. Two stockpiles from the original Detour construction (1-
subsoil, 1-topsoil) located in an adjacent area were moved and graded into the eastside
of the project. Several terraces were constructed on the road section and various
• ridges were cut down to assist in slope stability and minimize erosion. The stockpile
area and the eastside area were planted to the approved Dryland Pasture Seed Mix #8.
Attachment 2009-B contains photos of this project. Exhibit 2009-4 gives a project
outline and seeding area.
•
F:\Eng\DATA\Word\Ann Reclaim Report\2009\2009RECRPT.doc
