EXIIIBIT "G"
Water Information
(1) This operation is not expected to directly affect surface or groundwater systems. Historically no
ground water has been discovered in the local area that the permit covers.
(2) Since this operation is not expected to directly affect surface or groundwater systems, items (a)
(b) and (c) are not necessary. However some of the information is supplied as a matter of course.
(a) On the map (EXHIBIT "C") there are no watercourses shown, none run through the permit
boundary. Neither are there any wells, springs, ditches or reservoirs on the affected lands or
closer than 600 feet on adjacent lands. There are no structures that would be affected by the
proposed mining operations.
(b) There are no known aquifers to be identified. This area is a terrace gravel deposit and no aquifers
are known.
(c) There will be no dewatering operation or runoff from disturbed areas. A low earthen berm will
be placed around areas of excavation to prevent runoff from the pit area. A Stormwater Discharge
Permit and associated Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) will be developed for this operation.
(3) There will. be some water requirements for the process water to wash the product to produce
clean concrete sand. Mining and reclamation phases will not require water. The amount of water
needed is not known at this time. The quantity of water needed will be determined after mining has
commenced and the annual amount of product required is forecast by the market demand. Therefore
no flow rates or annual volumes are presented. When the method and volume of product has been
determined and the equipment needed to produce said quantity the operator will notify the
DIVISION OF RECLAMATION, MINING and SAFETY and provide a technical revision in order
to begin production of the washed product.
(4) As stated above water will be required or involved when the washing of product is warranted by
a market demand. The water will be supplied by pipeline from the ranch well shown on the PRE-
M1NG MAP EXHIBIT "C" the well is in Section 31 and the existing pipeline goes to the east on
the ranch as shown on the PRE-MING MAP EXHIBIT "C" to a point of terminus approximately
3400 feet. The water that will be needed for the washing of the aggregate will be tap from this point
and head south up to the process area on the permit area. The water will be changed in water court
for this purpose. As mentioned previously the DIVISION OF RECLAMATION, MINING and
SAFETY will be notified and a technical revision will be developed to update this use.
