(e) An approximate timetable to describe the mining operation is shown on the Mining Plan Map
- Exhibit "C". The life of this mine may extend beyond the 68 years as listed on the mining plan map,
this depends upon demand for the product; this time line may be shorter or longer. This mine will
be a year round operation with no planned extended cessation of operations at this mine site. It is
proposed to use a floating bond on 23 acres on this operation as mining is completed in the mining
units as proposed (see Mining Map Exhibit "C"). The mining plan has eleven (9) phases to be
excavated ranging in size from about 8.96 acres to 22.84 acres. It is planned that it will take
approximately ten (10) years per phase maximum for the larger area Phases less for the smaller size
Phases please see MINING PLAN MAP Exhibit "C".
(i) The estimate of the periods of time, which is stated above of ten (10) years per phase, is a best
estimate at this time. Then it will take between 3 to 5 years to establish the reclaimed area back to
rangeland that may be considered for release by the Mined Land Reclamation Board ofthe Division
of Mining and Geology. The reclamation will be an ongoing process as soon as the first unit is
deemed mined-out, and the phasing of the mining and reclamation will follow a natural progression
with final reclamation as the ultimate goal.
(ii) As stated in this report, the mining and affected land will range between 8.96 acres to 22.84 acres
with a maximum of 22.84 acres being disturbed at any time. Reclamation would be occurring on the
lands mined out concurrently with mining.
(iii) The sequence in which each stage or phase will be carried out is outlined in this report. Also,
please see Mining Map Exhibit "C". Mining will start in Phase 1 one in the west central part of the
permitted area and move to the west the process area will be set up in this segment which is north
of County Road 611.1. Next mining will start in Phase 2 two starting east of Phase 1 moving east
also this segment is north of County Road 611.1. Phase 3 three will begin in the most eastern
segment and north of County Road 611.1 and move to the east to the eastern boundary of the permit
area. The fourth Phase 4 four will start in the most western segment of the permit boundary north
of County Road 611.1 and move to the west. Phase 5 five will start on the south of County Road
611.1 on the said east section line of Section 31 and move to the west. Phase 6 six will start on the
west section line of said Section 32 and move east south of County Road 611.1. Mining will continue
to move east through Phase 7 seven and Phase 8 eight to the eastern permit boundary. Phase 9 nine
will be mined in the southeastern corner of the permit boundary in said Section 32.
(f) The backslopi.ng and final pit floor will be done in concert with the mining. It is planned to start
reclaiming 5 to 10 acres areas as they are deemed mined-out. This allows the operator the allotted
time to establish a planned reclamation plan and continue to mine, hence the 23-acre floating bond.
As stated before, this site is on an upland terrace deposit with the following characteristics:
