surface and the periodic flooding at high water will encourage revegetation. The groundwater <br />level is approximately 4 feet below the original ground. <br />The wetland areas should be restored to typical wetland covers of at least 50% live perennial <br />cover. The revegetated area will be monitored for success of reclamation until accepted by the <br />Division. If revegetation fails prior to release, an analysis of the site will be made and the area <br />will be revegetated again as necessary. <br />9. Monitoring Reclamation Success <br />Monitoring the reclamation on an ongoing basis will help to ensure successful reclamation. The <br />operator plans to use the local NRCS office to assist in determining the ability of the reclaimed <br />land to control erosion and any to make suggestions which may enhance the reclamation of the <br />site. If minor changes or modifications are needed to the seeding and reclamation plan, revision <br />plans will be submitted to the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety as required. It is <br />hoped that the Division will provide assistance in evaluating the success of the ongoing <br />reclamation process. All areas disturbed and reclaimed and any other important items regarding <br />the reclamation will be submitted in the annual reports to the Division. <br />Gehrman Pit October 09 E-6
