S. Highway 40, near Craig, in <br />Moffat County, Colorado. <br />Dear Mr. Wagner, <br />Colorado Air Pollution Control Division (the Division) has reviewed your above application and Air <br />Pollutant Emission Notice (APEN). <br />It is determined that the above source is one of the listed sources that is specifically exempt from permit <br />requirements (per Regulation No. 3, Part B, II. D. 1. g. However, filing of an APEN is required as the <br />emissions exceed the APEN thresholds. <br />This exemption from permit requirements is issued in reliance upon the accuracy and completeness of <br />information supplied by the applicant, and is conditioned upon construction, installation, and operation <br />in accordance with this information and with representations made by the applicant or applicant's <br />agents. Specifically, this exemption has been granted provided that the following information is <br />accurate and complete: <br />Mining activities are less than 70,000 tons per year. <br />Estimated emissions at the requested mining activity of 25,000 tons per year are: <br />Particulate Matter - Fugitive: 4.0 tons per year. <br />PM 10 (Particulate Matter less than 10 micrometers): 1.7 tons per year. <br />Laboratory Services Division <br />8100 Lowry Blvd. <br />Denver, Colorado 80230-6928 <br />(303) 692-3090 <br />This permit exemption is for mining activities only.
