In this quarter, no discharges were observed at
Points 005, 009, 011, 013 and 014.
Vehicle access to Point 017 was closed starting in mid-November due to
snow and/or mud. The monthly visit in December was performed on foot.
For Point 015, deep snow on this long, narrow road prevented safe
access, even with a snowmobile, in December. Winter time monitoring
exemptions exists for these sites (CPDS permit, Part I, page 24).
No 2009 DMR's were provided for the annual acute WET tests Points WTH
and WTI. I took the 2010 DMR's for those points and revised the dates
to 2009.
No excursions of effluent limits occurred this quarter. Please contact
me at 970-276-5209 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dennis Jones
Hydrologist I
Mr. Daniel Mathews
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203-2273
Seneca Coal Company • P.O.
