The mine is operated by <br />Coors Energy Company under the <br />provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The <br />bond release application was submitted by <br />Coors Energy Company on March 16, <br />2009. Coors Energy Company is <br />requesting Phase III Bond release 165.29 <br />acres of reclaimed area within the <br />Keenesburg mine permit. The requested <br />areas ,;onsist of parcels 1, 3, 4, 8, 11, 12, <br />13, 14, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, and <br />28. Reclamation work for these parcels <br />was conducted between 1985 and 1997. <br />The affected area is located in Weld <br />Counp,, approximately 7 miles North of <br />Keenesburg, Colorado. The Division has <br />proposed to release $167,911.00 (costs <br />associated with Phase III revegetation <br />tasks) of Phase III reclamation liability. <br />The Division has also proposed to <br />Approve Surety Release No.1 (SRI) in the <br />amount of $37,666.00. <br />Copies of the proposed decision are <br />available for review at the Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room <br />215, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the <br />office of the Weld County Clerk and <br />Recorder. <br />Any parson who has an interest which is <br />or may be adversely affected may request <br />an adjudicatory hearing regarding this <br />proposed decision. Requests for a <br />hearing must be made in writing within <br />thirty (30) days of the first publication of <br />this notice, and shall state with reasonable <br />specificity the reasons for the request and <br />objections to the proposed decision. <br />Published in the Fort Lupton Press <br />December 9 and 16, 2009
