Slopes are 0 to 1 <br />percent. This component is on alluvial fans. The parent material consists of <br />cobbly alluvium. Depth to a root restrictive layer is greater than 60 inches. The <br />natural drainage class is excessively drained. Organic matter content in the <br />surface horizon is about 1 percent. <br />Map unit: Nr - Norte-Dunul Complex <br />Component: Dunul (40%) <br />The Dunul component makes up 40 percent of the map unit. Slopes are 0 to ' <br />percent. The parent material consists of cobbly alluvium. Depth to a root <br />restrictive layer is greater than 60 inches. The natural drainage class is <br />excessively drained. Organic matter content in the surface horizon is about 1 <br />percent. <br />Component: Norte (40%) <br />The Norte component makes up 40 percent of the map unit. Slopes are 0 to 1 <br />percent. This component is on alluvial fans. The parent material consists of <br />gravelly alluvium. Depth to a root restrictive layer is greater than 60 inches. <br />Organic matter content in the surface horizon is about 1 percent. <br />All materials listed above are suitable for existing vegetation growth. Re- <br />establishing plant growth will be possible as all seed types except Louisiana <br />Sage are native to the San Luis Valley. Fringed Sage is an acceptable substitute <br />for Louisiana Sage and is native to the San Luis Valley
