MANAGEMENT
:-Minrec-, Inc:; North ThompsorFCreek-Mines--- --------
-- ------Re--
2009 Annual Hydrologic Report
Permit C-81-025
Dear Mr. Stark:
Please accept this letter as the 2009 Annual Hydrologic Report for the North Thompson
Creek Mines. This report is for the 2009 calendar year.
The Operator applied for a final bond release on October 5, 2006. It appeared the final
bond release would become final during the year so no hydrology monitoring was
performed. By a decision dated December 22, the Division partially approved a phase I, II
and III bond release.
The monitoring program no longer includes the requirements of Colorado Discharge Permit
System CO-0029599 since it was terminated by the Department of Health effective March
14, 2005. There was no discharge from the sediment pond during the year.
By letter dated April 9, 2008, the Department of Health directed the Operator to apply for a
discharge permit. By letter dated April 28, 2008, the Operator submitted an application-for
renewal of its terminated discharge permit. A new or renewed discharge permit should be
issued and effective early in 2010.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J. E. Stover, P. E.
Consulting Engineer
