structure, one berm and a sedimentation pond.
The SEDCAD+ computer model was used to design all of the drainage
control structures, except Berm MP-1 on the southwest side of the explosives
magazine pad. Berm MP-1 will be constructed to a minimum height of two feet.
Exhibit 4.6-6 shows the location of the structures and the watershed
dissection used in designing them. Exhibit 4.6-7 shows the facilities
sediment pond, while Exhibit 4.6-8 shows a cross section of the sediment pond.
Results of the SEDCAD+ computer simulations, design specifications and
graphical representations of the ditches are provided in Appendix 4.6-Q.
The watershed boundaries and direction of sheet flow in the immediate
vicinity of the facilities (subwatersheds J1,B1,S1,SW1; J1,B2,S1,SW1,
J1, B2,S1, Sw2; and J1, B1,S1,SW3: see Exhibit 9.6-6 for locations) will be
established as follows:
J1,B1,S1,SW1:
Southern boundary- This boundary will be established by grading
areas to the north to have a lower elevation with
areas to the south of the drainage break being
included in the previously approved small area
exemption shown on Exhibit 4.6-23. The drainage
• area to the north of this watershed break
(between the maintenance shop and truck/storage
shed) will be graded and sloped toward a center
line as the low point between the two structures.
The centerline will also be sloped to direct
drainage northward to culvert FC-1.
Eastern boundary- The boundary consists of the center roof line of
the maintenance shop. Drainage to the west of the
centerline is directed to the low point between
the maintenance and truck/storage shed as
previously mentioned. Drainage to the east of
the roof centerline and north to the hopper is
captured by the Goat Trail drainage system and
directed towards the tipple sediment ponds.
Between the maintenance shop and the hopper, the
drainage break is established by the naturally
• 9.6-34a May 20, 1993
