Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): <br />1. A program called QuickView will be copied tti the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DRMS imaging CD <br />the fast time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. <br />2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive A DVD drive will read a CD th DVD. <br />3. The CD will contain files with the .tif ex€ension. There needs to be an image viewing application for Aif files on your computer that <br />will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture <br />and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre - Windows XP computers <br />does work. DRMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView ", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with <br />QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView " , it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DRMS does not support or endorse <br />this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as <br />"Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows ". <br />Instructions• <br />1. Insert the CD into your computer. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView <br />2. Allow time for the CD to install. [doe;NOT etup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program <br />3. Eject the CD from the computer, work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. nsctions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request <br />5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.eo.us. <br />The Permit File document images can be viewed in the reception area of the DBMS office or they can be purchased on a CD or <br />DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the time and labor of making the CD.
