Section 1, 2nd paragraph - determination of the height of embankment does not <br />match the description contained in Rule 4.05.9(6). Please revise the description, <br />as appropriate. <br />28. Table 2 includes a Unit Weight of 120.4 lbs/cu.ft. for Compacted Overburden. It <br />is not clear from where this value was obtained (laboratory or estimation), nor <br />how it was used in the analysis. Appendix 7 of Volume V gives a unit weight of <br />130 pcf for remolded shale, but no compaction test results for Overburden have <br />been submitted to the Division. Please provide additional explanation of the <br />source of the Compacted Overburden Unit Weight value. <br />29. Section 2.3 - The GeoStudio output is not attached. Please provide the Division <br />with a coy of the output. <br />This completes my Engineering and Geotechnical review for the Red Cliff Mine.
