a..

Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
1313 Sherman Street Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
ATT: Sandy
RE: Permit Revision by Western Fuels

?h?isior+ o, , -do!Uort,
C)b- _e'C4
In the entire Permit-Revision, Western Fuels has put down the Farmer. It does not matter if it
was James Johnson, Lloyds, Bensons, Morgans, etc., WFC said we were Bad farmers and our
irrigation methods were horrible and we never irrigated or managed our property properly.
Now, they published an article in the Forum that said DRMS regulated them and no matter what
WFC wanted or what the farmers wanted that DRMS was making them put the land back to
dryland because WFC was asked to decide whether we had enough water to irrigate and it was
already decided that we do not and therefore DRMS will not allow them to put it back as it was
and the farmer who has been irrigating it for their entire lives and their ancestors that the farmer
knows absolutely nothing, therefore they told the public that it is mandatory that they put it back
to DRYLAND.
I would like to know when this was decided that we do not have enough water? I would like also
to know when WFC calculations are more valid than the farmer that has irrigated it for the past
50 years? We all would like to know WHY WFC is spending thousands of dollars to prove this
fact and to NOT put our land back as it was? WHY is WFC fighting to restore all of the lands
West of 27 road when they restored all of the properties EAST of 27 road. Maybe you can tell us
WHY?
We have spoken with ALL of the farmers in this area and ALL of them are willing to go on
record that 1 share will irrigate 2 acres of land! Preston Carver, Dan and Chem Cooper, Weimer
Ranches, Galleys, Naslunds, Lowell Watson, Pat Brown, Clinton Oliver, Williams, Snyders,
Richards and Richards, and WFC themselves is already on record whether they realize it or not
because of all the past reclamation that they have done and proof is enclosed. WFC has it
documented in almost everything they have done.
We do not raise cattle or sheep or any livestock. WE RAISE HAY! This is our only livelihood.
We need our property put back as it was. I have several packets I am putting together today and
sending to the Department of Agriculture, The Senators Office, The Governors Office, and
anyone else that I can get a packet out to because I don"t believe that a surface mine can take
away a familys' livelihood
When does the farmer, as stated in WFC article have to PROVIDE FINANCIAL Assistance for
them to put our property back like it was ????
THANK YOU,
/\fnv?
9 11 4d L 411'6?
