1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. All work shall be constructed, monitored, and tested in compliance with the requirements of the <br />Construction Quality Assurance Plan (Section 01400.2). CONTRACTOR and MANUFACTURER <br />shall participate in and comply with all items in these SPECIFICATIONS and requirements of the <br />CQA plan. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that each geogrid MANUFACTURER that supplies materials to this <br />project has an internal product quality control program that meets SPECIFICATIONS. <br />C. Geogrid rolls that do not meet the requirements of this SPECIFICATION will be rejected. <br />CONTRACTOR shall replace the rejected material with new material that conforms to the <br />SPECIFICATION requirements, at no additional cost to CC &V. <br />1.05 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Packing and Shipping <br />1. Labels on each roll delivered to Site shall identify the following. <br />a. MANUFACTURER's name <br />b. Product Identification <br />c. Thickness <br />d. Roll number <br />e. Batch or lot number <br />f. Roll dimensions <br />2. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that geogrid rolls are properly loaded and secured to prevent <br />damage during transit. <br />3. CONTRACTOR shall protect geogrid from excessive heat, cold, puncture, cutting, or other <br />damaging or deleterious conditions. <br />4. CONTRACTOR shall ensure personnel responsible for loading, transport, and unloading <br />of geogrid are fully aware of the consequences of damage to geogrid, and are familiar with <br />handling and transport constraints imposed by MANUFACTURER. <br />5. Geogrid delivered to the project shall be protected by a relatively impermeable and opaque <br />protective cover, with individual straps for unloading. <br />B. Acceptance at Site <br />1. CQA Monitor shall perform inventory and surface inspection for defects and damage of all <br />geogrid rolls upon delivery. <br />. 2.
