4.0 ADDITIONAL WRITTEN APPLICATION MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR <br />SPECIAL REVIEW APPLICATIONS <br />4.1 LOCATION AND TYPE OF ALL EQUIPMENT AND OPERATIONS <br />The mining operation will use earthmoving equipment to work the site area. All <br />equipment will stay within the confines of the mine permit boundary. Several <br />hydraulic excavators and scrapers will be utilized at the site along with bulldozers <br />loaders and excavators. Mined materials will be transported to the Kirtright Pit <br />for processing using 20 -30 -ton capacity offroad haul trucks. <br />4.2 TYPE AND WEIGHT OF ALL TRUCKS, FREQUENCY OF TRIPS TO THE <br />SITE AND EXPECTED TRAVEL ROUTE <br />Finished material will be hauled from the Kirtright Pit through the existing site <br />access onto the Frontage Road. Offsite haul trucks will be primarily 20 ton <br />capacity tandem axel tractor trailers and tandem axel trucks to a lesser extent. <br />Site generated traffic is expected to generally follow the routes shown in Figure 5 <br />below which is taken directly from the traffic study conducted by LSC <br />transportation consultants in November of 2009. The frequency of site generated <br />traffic is given in Table 3.2.1 below. <br />Table 3.2.1.
