h r •
NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has issued a proposed decision
to approve a technical revision to the mining and reclamation plans for the
Hamilton Mine, Permit No. C-91-078, operated by Honeywood Coal Company, under
the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979.
The proposed technical revision (TR-03) was submitted by Honeywood Coal
Company, on September 20, 1993 for the Hamilton Mine. The permit area is
located in portions of Sections 4 and 5, T45N, R15W, and Sections 28, 32, and
33, T46N, R15W, N.M.P.M. , in Montrose County.
The subject technical revision reduces the bond amount for Mining Area 3 of
the Hamilton Mine. Because only a small portion of the area was mined, the
bond amount would be reduced from $303,250.00 to $68,935.00.
Copies of the proposed technical revision are available for review at the
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology office, 1313 Sherman Street,
Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203. Any person who has an interest which is or
may be adversely affected may request a formal hearing regarding this proposed
decision. Requests for a formal hearing must be made in writing within ten
(10) days of this publication and shall state with reasonable specificity the
reasons for the request and objections to the proposed decision.
