December 3, 2009
CO Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Subject: Venture Resources' Hulall Gulch Millsite Application
Dear DRMS Board and Staff:
I am writing to show my SWort for Venture Resources' proposed operation, the HUM Gulch Millsite project.
Asa Colorado resident, I. am pleased to see renewed hardrock metal mining activity in Clear Creek county. In
today's troubled economy, homegrown business and industry will help our local economies. Mining in this area
carries a long tradition; a tradition that ultimately brought Colorado into statehood. This year marked the 150'
Anniversary of the discovery of gold in Clear Creek County.
I am familiar with Venture Resources' project, and am specifically aware that:
• A mineral processing mill and tailings impoundment is proposed.
The project will be processing abandoned mine waste rock
-
0 This is a local company that plans on hiring local residents and supporting local businesses.
By processing abandoned mine waste rock and removing the acid forming and heave metal contaminants, the
proposed project will go a long way to beginning to improve the conditions of the Clear Creek. watershed. Finally. a
pro - active solution instead of the current ones that do little, or nothing. Covering up the problem or just spending
tax dollars studying it does not solve the problem.
I would like to encourage the DRMS to proceed, without delay, in approving the permit for this proposed operation.
Sincerely,
i
r l d"
Panted: a —
7
Address:
)60
