The technical revision is a
weed control plan, prepared or reviewed by the Gunnison -area weed control office.
United Companies has provided a copy of its Gunnison- and Crested Butte -area weed control plan. The problem
related to presence of noxious weeds, and lack of an effective weed control plan, has been corrected.
The details of the plan appear to be sufficient to provide effective control of current and future infestations. Please
ensure that its implementation continues to be timely and complete. The technical revision has been approved, and the
plan is now part of the permit. At this time there is no bond adjustment associated with including this revision in the
permit.
Please be reminded that weed control activities that are performed and their results should be reported in the permit
annual report.
Thank you for the information and the timely correction. If you have any questions, I may be reached at the Division's
Durango field office: 691 CR 233, Room A -2, Durango, CO 81301; telephone 970 - 247 -5193.
Sincerely,
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
Ec: Steve Shuey, DRMS
(c: \09 -12 docs \vader pb con & tr4 appr /rco)
Office of.
Office of Active and Inactive Mines
Mined Land Reclamation Denver •Grand Junction •Durango
