%A <br />& Today once weekly for four consecutive weeks, beginning on December 7, 2008. Chevron <br />Mining Inc., also notified landowners within and adjacent to the mine permit area, and other <br />interested parties of the application for bond release, as required by section 3.03.2(1). The <br />Division received one written objection regarding the bond release application. The written <br />objection was received by the Division on June 09, 2009 in a letter written and submitted by <br />the Natural Resources Conservation Service (MRCS) in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In a <br />letter dated August 20, 2009, the Division provided responses to the concerns raised in the <br />NRCS objection letter. The Division received no other comments, objections, or requests for <br />informal conferences in regarding this bond release application. <br />Bond Release Inspection <br />The Division scheduled and conducted a bond release inspection on July 20, 2009. The site <br />inspection was conducted in accordance with Section 3.03:201_ Jason Musick and Janet <br />Binns represented the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety. The operator <br />was represented by Steven Leach of Chevron Mining, Inc and Troy Summers of WWC <br />Engineering. Christine Belka represented the United States Office of Surface Mining. Lori <br />Jazwick represented the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Sarah Hagenbach <br />represented the Routt County Conservation District. Tom and Leslie Maneotis, Rob and <br />Kathryn Dick were the landowners present at the inspection. Asset manager Scott Hayden <br />represented the land ownership group, Hoeptner et al Land. It was determined during this <br />initial inspection that small maintenance items and slight weed management was required. <br />The Division's inspection report is on file at the Denver Office of the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety. <br />The Division conducted a second inspection on August 24, 2009 to ensure maintenance items <br />noted during the July 20th inspection had been adequately addressed.
