Phrase IVa: Completed placement of drain cover fill over the re- certified liner. AMEC personnel
observed the drain cover placement on a full -time basis.
CQA ACTIVITIES:
SUMMARY:
The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction
activities of the contractor.
AMEC observed placement of structural fill within the Phase 5 VLF fill area.
AMEC observed structural fill placement (processed ore) within the Phase IV VLF constantly. Nuclear
density testing was performed during placement.
AMEC observed the Phase IVa drain cover fill constantly.
AMEC observed construction of the ADR waterline.
AMEC observed construction of the Primary Underdrain.
Testing Summary
Laboratory testing continues (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, and Moisture- Density
Compaction testing) for sampled materials.
