amec <br />Earth 8 Envirgnmentai <br />Blast pattern drilling was performed in the following areas: between stations A6 +15 ( + / -) and <br />A7 +20 ( + / -), approximately 15 feet left of centerline to 40 feet right of centerline; between <br />stations H3 +50 ( + / -) and H5 +40 ( + / -), approximately 0 to 75 feet left of centerline; between <br />stations H9 +25 ( + / -) and 1110 +80 ( + / -), approximately 50 feet left of centerline to 50 feet right <br />of centerline; and between stations F2 +35 ( + / -) and F3 +70 ( + / -), approximately 0 to 100 feet <br />right of centerline using three track mounted drill rigs. Blasting was performed in these areas <br />Monday (11/9/2009), Tuesday (11/10/2009), Wednesday (11/11/2009), and Thursday <br />(11/12/2009). <br />G) Material Processing <br />1) South Cresson Clay Processing Area <br />Processing of Soil Liner Fill material continued at the South Cresson Clay Process. Approximately 180 linear feet of <br />each pipe size (10" and 12 ") was installed during the week. Testing of the welds to be performed <br />next week. <br />Pipe trench excavation and bedding was performed throughout the week for the Crushing <br />waterline using a CAT 330 excavator and a CAT 980 front -end loader. The pipe bedding material <br />was moisture conditioned and compacted using the bucket of the CAT 330 excavator. <br />Approximately 700 linear feet of pipe trench was excavated and bedded during the week. <br />After preliminary air testing of the previously installed Crushing waterline HDPE pipe, backfilling <br />was performed. Approximately 500 linear feet of pipe trench was backfilled using a CAT 980 - <br />front -end loader and a CAT 330 excavator. <br />I) Miscellaneous <br />No work performed during the week. <br />III) Underground Workings <br />A) Drilling <br />The 84" culvert was capped using concrete, and a temporary 10" drainpipe was installed in this <br />area. <br />B) Mine Shaft /Stope Remediation <br />Coordinates received from John Lupo were staked, locating the Thompson and Kitty Lane <br />underground workings. The Thompson shaft (UG #3008) is in a fill area. A CAT 345 excavator <br />was used to attempt to encounter the shaft. The area was excavated to approximately 15 feet in <br />depth and hard rock was encountered. John Lupo suggested that the excavation be backfilled with <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 11.14.09.D.doc <br />
