C-1981-022, TR-64
Preliminary Adequacy Review
02 December 2009
Reclamation Cost Estimate
Reclamation costs for these boreholes were computed with TR-63 and included with the
associated bond increase. The costs will be reevaluated for TR-64; you will be informed
of any changes (increase or decrease) that result.
Threatened and Endangered Species Assessment
A "Block Biological Clearance Project" was prepared in August 2005 by Monarch and
Associates. This document was incorporated into Exhibit 2.04.7 of the permit with MR-
79 in June 2006. Areas to be affected by TR-64 were included in the scope of the project.
Cultural Resources Assessment
A "Class III Cultural Resources Inventory of the Block Clearance Area Project" was
prepared in August 2005 by the Grand River Institute. This document was incorporated
into Exhibit 2.04.7 of the permit with MR-79 in June 2006. Areas to be affected by TR-
64 were included in the inventory.
Adequacy Items
The application package for TR-64 included revised page 2.05-50a (Table 2.05.4-T1);
revised Exhibit 2.04-E3, Item 9 - Methane Drainage Well Information; and revised Map
2.05-M1, Sheet 6 of 6. The Division has reviewed these items for adequacy, and our
comments are itemized below.
The TR-64 cover letter (Page 1) indicates that Exhibit 2.04-E3 Item 9 has been
updated to reflect the 2009 borehole drilling activities. These sites appear on
pages 3 and 4 of Item 9. Northing and Easting coordinates have not been
provided, nor have the completion dates for these boreholes. Please provide the
missing data for the sites drilled in 2009.
2. On Page 4 of the Item 9 table, the Road Disturbance column entries for GVB-
LW-16-05 and -1 8-01A are referenced from LW-17-04 and the LW-17-OIA road,
respectively. These features do not appear on the map, and are not listed
elsewhere in Item 9. Please review the descriptions and revise as necessary.
3. The column headings for Item 9 appear only on the first page. Please revise the
table to include the column headings on each subsequent page.
4. Page 2.05-31a, Paragraph E - Degasification Well Roads references Exhibit 2.04-
E3, Item 6 - Methane Drainage Well Information. This information is presented
in Item 9. Please revise this page accordingly.
