Application Package
Dear Mr. Pratt:
On November 20, 2009 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received your 112
Construction Materials Reclamation Permit Application package for the Pickering Family Pit, File No. M-2009-
086. Preliminary review of the information received determined that the following items must be received
before the Division can consider your application as being submitted and technical review can begin:
APPLICATION FORM:
1. Please select a quarter/quarter section on page 2 of the application form.
EXHIBIT A - Legal Description (Rule 6.4.1): The legal description must identify the affected land and be
wholly adequate for field location of the property. It can be in the form of metes and bounds survey or a
description by reference to township, range and section to at least the nearest quarter quarter section.
Where applicable, the street address or lot numbers may be used.
2. As indicated in Item #1, please provide the Division with location information for the mining area to at
least the nearest quarter quarter section.
3. The applicant states, "See Exhibit A-1" for the legal description for the access road. Please provide a
legal description for the access road in Exhibit A.
4. The Applicant indicates 19.9 acres will be permitted for the Pickering Family Pit on the Application
Form however, only 15 acres are indicated on the Exhibit A. Please revise Exhibit A to indicate the
remaining 4.9 acres of permitted acreage.
