Proposed Mining Layout for K-Pit, G-Pit, East-Panel Pit, and A-East Pit
:Tong with Outline of Landslide Area
removed working southwards to the landslide limit by removing I..-M interburden and spoiling to
the west. Aller the M-Seam is removed the dragline will work its way back downdip removing
the M-Q interburden and spoiling to the west.
At the same time is moving interburden tier the first cut, a T & S fleet will be removing
overburden from the northern portion of each subsequent K-Pit cut, and the spoils will be trucked
to the old G-Strike area. These spoils will serve as a buttress to the toe of the landslide. Since
the M-Q interburden is thin in this area (estimated 10-20 ff), all K-Pit mining in the will be via
the T & S fleet. The orientation of these cuts have been selected parallel the average strike of the
beds. In this area of the mine the beds are steeply dipping (up to 25° dip).
Once the maximum spoil height is attained in the old G-Strike area, the spoils will be
trucked over the ridgeline to a designated spoil area in I lorse Gulch. Once sufficient mining has
occurred in the early K-Pit, spoil will be trucked to the first K-Pit cuts.
5.3 Reserve Recovery Estimates
It is anticipated that recovery for all the reserves within the Z-Dip Pit and A-Pit areas will
be as similar to other areas of the mine. The only unrecoverable reserves in these two areas are
Agapito Associates, Inc.
