Venture Resources, Inc.
PO Box 1974 (303) 619 -6323
Idalio Spriiigs, CO 80:52 Fax: (303)4
, vernthu eresourees(aatt.net
November 25, 2009
CO Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Attn: Allen Sorenson
RE: M- 2009 -076 Application
Subject: "Complex" Designation
Dear Mr. Sorenson:
We are extremely disappointed that your office has designated our application "complex" and thereby extending the
decision date from December 24, 2009 to February 22, 2010. A simple operation of scooping up pre - existing waste
rock and running it through a gravity and flotation concentrating mill (technology dating to well over 75 years in the
past) seems anything but "complex ".
This comes after several face -to -face meetings (the latest being on Nov. 13 with you and Tony Waldron leading us
to believe this would not be the case. We specifically asked whether or not our application would be determined
"complex" and were assured that it probably would not. What changed in the last eleven days?
Why wouldn't you have mentioned this to us, knowing how important this timeline is to us? We have employees
laid -off and waiting to get back to work. Jobs are few and far between up here. Two additional months is a big deal
to guys trying to keep their houses and feed their families.
In the event this decision of "complex" designation stands, we are asking that your office keep frequent and rom t
correspondence with us of any further information that the DRMS determines it requires. We expect this
correspondence incrementally as the DRMS learns of any additional information needed. This seems fair if this
application is truly "complex" in nature and DRMS staff will be spending additional time evaluating.
We hope this designation is not going to place our application on the "back burner" without any attention until much
later. Do not wait until February to dump a letter on us with a long list of requirements.
Sincerely,
Venture Resources, Inc.
Ryan J.
