-S-
Section 2.0: "There are no known faults in the vicinity of the claims that might act as higher permeability zones
along which groundwater could concentrate and flow."
Comment: The geologic map provided in the report is generalized and, according to the legend, is based on a 1956
photo geologic map. It appears from the Google Earth image that there may be more geologic structures near the
mine area than are depicted on the 1956 map, as shown by the rendering below. DRMS recommends more detailed
geologic mapping, or at the very least, hydrologic investigations to assess the hydraulic nature of the structures.
2.0: "The Brushy Basin 1mb is a regional contining unit.......
Comment: Please provide data or references that verify this statement.
3.0: PROPOSED DRILL. HOLE LOCATIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS
Comment: Since this is a DMO, drill holes planned for the collection of hydrologic information should be of sufficient
depth to intercept and characterize all water bearing formations that have any chance of being impacted by site
operations or reclamation activity, regardless of the formation depth.
3.0: The plan does not appear to include a down gradient point of compliance well, nor- a discrete up gradient
baseline well.
Comment: Points of compliance are required by Rule 3.1.7(6). One or more up gradient baseline wells will be useful
to the Operator in assessing impacts to ground water from mining activities.
61: "The waste rock pile(s) du riot exhibit any DMO defined criteria."
Comment: The waste rock piles contain toxic-forming materials and therefore require special handling and
management.
