Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) <br />Jesse Lee <br />October 2006 <br />introduction, Location and Site Map <br />Pelino Inc is the operator of a construction aggregate operation in Chaffee <br />County located at 26000 Highway 285 south of Buena Vista, Colorado (Figure 1). <br />The total area is approximately 16 acres. <br />The legal description of the property is as follows: <br />Property located in the SE 1/4, SE 1/4 of Section 28 and NE 1/4, NE <br />1/4 of Section 33, Township 14 South, Range 78 West of the Sixth <br />Principle Meridian in Chaffee County, Colorado. <br />The operator is seeking storm water permit coverage under a Colorado <br />Discharge Permit System (CDPS) General Permit for Sand and Gravel Mining and <br />Processing. Operations within the area will include processing and stockpiling <br />construction aggregate. Minimal equipment maintenance and repair may occur on- <br />site <br />Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) Administrator <br />plan: <br />The operator has designated the following SWMP Team to administer the <br />Scott Pelino <br />Pelino Excavation <br />P.O. Box 5049 <br />Buena Vista, Colorado 81211 <br />The team is responsible for developing the SWMP, implementation, inspections, <br />maintenance and revisions as necessary. <br />Potential Pollutant Sources <br />Drainage <br />Storm water runoff occurs as a result of overland flow due to direct <br />precipitation and seepage due to irrigation of upstream agricultural land. The <br />property is adjacent to the Arkansas River and Maxwell Creek. A diversion ditch <br />directs storm drainage into sedimentation ponds to allow natural percolation of <br />groundwater. <br />Site Map <br />The site map (Figure 1) depicts the location of processing area, stockpile <br />areas, access roads, topography, and storm water run-off patterns. <br />3
