Any long-term features
will require adequate bonding to ensure proper functioning is maintained. Per CFR 3809.552(c),
Denison should identify which features will remain after final stabilization is achieved and
establish a funding mechanism to ensure long-term maintenance of these features. As part of this
process, Denison must submit an estimate of the maintenance costs for such features for BLM's
review.
My staff will be contacting you in the near future to schedule a meeting to discuss the above
requirements and the time frame for completion. In the interim, if you have any questions,
please contact Helen Mary Johnson, Geologist San Juan Public Lands, 970.385.1359, or James
Blair, Geologist Dolores Public lands at 970-882-6862.
Sincerely,
qlxua
Jamie Sellar-Baker
Associate Field Manager
cc:
COSO 921
CO Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety - Durango >
