experienced in the design and construction of earthen structures. The design
and construction of the replacement principal spillway, an 8-inch plastic
corrugated straight pipe, approved under TR-37 in October 2005, was
supervised and certified by Robert J. Shevling, Colorado Registered
Professional Engineer, No. 37382. The TR-42 sediment storage calculations
were certified by David A. Hettinger, Colorado Registered Professional
Engineer No. 18406.
I am a registered professional engineer in the State of Colorado experienced
in the design, construction and operation of earthen structures. i have
reviewed the as-built documents and inspected the site. Exhibit 7-17E, Pond
008 Principal Spillway Replacement As-Built, presents the existing
configuration of the pond. TR-51 presents revised watershed area
measurements; the base model and all other assumptions remain unchanged from
the existing, and previously approved, as-built configuration. It is in my
opinion, based on the design assumptions presented in Appendix 7-6e and the
2005 as-built data, that Pond 008 will meet the requirements of Rules
4. 0 5. 6 (3) (a) , 4. 0 5. 9 (2) (b) and 4. 0 5. 9 (2) (c) i)
W.
26046
0 N A L
- I ,
Mic4hal W.
