<br />- area;' itself Winter-habitat utilization ,is, in the, shrub types.- In spring,
<br />summer, and fall, however, there is use of the.aspen stands and areas of
<br />herbaceous cover in the permit area.

<br />Elk, as- described in-Tab I l,, utilize the. permit,, area as a north-south
<br />migration.-rou#e. Potent.igl elk calv[ng gF.ounds (none have been positively

<br />6. •MammalianPredators..These include ermine, coyotes, and long-tailed
<br />.weasel in the study area. Surrounding areas have habitat for ringtail,
<br />black bear,. marten, badger, mountain lion, and bobcat.
<br />,. Land Use. Premining wand use has. been limited to cattle grazing and
<br />wildlife utilization. Postmining land use plans are designed to reestablish
<br />these uses.
