In reclamation planning at the Seneca II Mine,
erosion and sediment problems are considered. Seneca Coals, Ltd. is now
effectively using control measures such as grading, revegetation,
mulches, properly designed haul roads, ditches, culverts, and sedimenta-
tion ponds to control erosion and sediment at the Mine. As seen on the
flow chart, areas where control measures ore being used may be found in
boxes which are attached to circles cross-referenced to a specific sec-
Lion of the permit. These sections give details in narrative and drawings
and mops show how Seneca Coals, Ltd. plans to control the erosion and
sedimentation process.
In conclusion, the Seneca II Mine meets all Federal as well os State
requirements for water management.
•

4-I
Revised 5-27-81
