r~ <br />U <br />l_.I <br /> <br />DRILL PADS <br />Drill pads will be constructed where necessary to perform exploratory drilling or <br />other drilling to facilitate the mining operation. Atypical drill pad is shown on Figure <br />2.2-7. Topsoil will be salvaged from the drill pads and stockpiled nearby as shown on <br />the Figure. Mud pits will be constructed if necessary to support the drilling activity. <br />Run-off from the drill pads will typically not go through a treatment facility such as a <br />sediment pond. Where no sediment pond is available, run-off from the drill pads will be <br />filtered through a sediment fence. ~ <br />When no longer needed, drill pads will be graded to approximate original <br />2-ao <br />contour, topsoil replaced and seeded. <br />M`Clane <br />Volume 1 <br />12/05 <br />
